Zachary Hart

10/8/2010 - JDykes called Mrs. Hart. I gave Mrs. Hart an update on Zac's grades for each of his classes. Then, I spoke to him concerning the science class, and the fact that his quiz grades and his test score have been a little low. I also mentioned that Zac has been a bit more chatty recently with Amber Beatty. Mrs. Hart was well-aware of their friendship, as they live very close to one another. She said that she would speak to him about reserving their conversations to their proper time and place. I also mentioned Zac's low scores on his MORES assignments, and informed Mrs. Hart that if Zac was having trouble with those assignments he should make it a point to speak with Mrs. Dugan about it so that he would get higher grades on these as they are more heavily weighted than regular homework assignments.

11/4/10 - Dykes

Successfully completed the mastery test for Unit 2 Kinematics - received 10 bonus points on Test for Unit 2.

11/10/10 - JDykes

Pulled from RTI today for test prep.

11/16/10 - Covert
Talked to him during RTI and checked his homework folder for organization. Put papers in proper binders.

11/24/10 - Call - Covert

I spoke to Zach's mom about his grades this marking (B, B- range). Mom said he wants to do better than he did in math last marking period, and he is improving. Mom is happy with his progress so far.

11/30 - Dugan - Spoke to Zac during RTI about writing rules based on his Algebraic rules tutorial results.

12/15/10 - Dykes

Called Mrs. Hart. Spoke with her concerning his progress. He has basically the same grades as last quarter in science and english, and has improved his score in math from a D+ to a C+, bordering on a B-. I mentioned that at times he can be a bit chatty with the people sitting around him, and she said that she would speak with him about it, and that I could move him or discipline him as necessary.

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Hart,
My name is Jen Dugan and I am Zac's math teacher. I just wanted to touch base with you about his progress so far this year. He completes homework in math pretty consistently and is always willing to volunteer and answer questions if asked. He does, however, get a bit chatty at times and can be very easily distracted. This is something I'd like to see him work on for the coming marking period. It's actually gotten better since we switched seats but it's definitely something I want to keep an eye on. Checking his grades so far for this marking period, I noticed that Zac currently has a D- for Human Geography because he received a zero on a quiz grade. It would be very beneficial for Zac to talk to Mr. Crooks about this so it doesn't happen again. Overall, Zac is doing very well and shouldn't have any major issues throughout the rest of the year. He is a wonderful young man and we are very happy to have him in the 9th Grade Academy. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks so much for your time.
Jen Dugan

Response:
Hi Ms Dugan, Thanks for the update on Zac. It would definitely be beneficial for Zac to sit away from the ladies especially Amber. He is a socialite to say the least and can be chatty. I think this would help with the distractions and i will discuss his quiz score with him. Thanks and have a great day. William Hart

3/4 - Crooks

Good Morning:

I am Chris Crooks, Zac's Social Studies teacher at the high school. I just wanted to shoot you an email, introduce myself, and keep you in the loop with what's going on at the high school in reference to Zac.

Zac is doing well across the board academically. His lowest earned marks are in English and Math, but, from the looks of things, there's no need to panic or expect those grades will drop.

Overall Zac's teachers think very highly of him. Zac participates in class on occasion, responds well to redirection, is almost never a behavior problem, and is very polite and well-mannered. I very much enjoy having him in class.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns in reference to Zac and his academics please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

Thank you and have a great day.

Chris Crooks
